DESCRIPTION:
CSC are excited to offer for sale this superb, low mileage Porsche 997 Carrera 4 GTS finished in rare Platinum Silver and offering a superb high specification.
Following the 997’s update for 2009 in the form of the ‘Gen II’ model featuring revised engines and subtle re-styling, Porsche introduced the ‘GTS’ model in 2011, fitting into the 911 line up above the Carrera, and below the GT3. The GTS was fitted with the same 3.8-litre engine as the Gen II Carrera S but uprated from 380bhp to 402bhp thanks to Porsches ‘Powerkit’ which when coupled with the 7 speed PDK transmission and Sports Chrono package offered 0-62mph in just 4.2 seconds.
Styling features of the GTS included the wider ‘turbo’ bodywork and track, centre-lock alloy wheels, a ‘Sport Design’ front spoiler lip and GT2 style side sills. Internally Sports seats and Alcantara trim were standard fitment along with a few added luxuries. A sports exhaust was also standard equipment adding a dose of aural pleasure to enhance the occasion. In order to help control the extra performance, the GTS also came with uprated suspension.
Following its launch and the subsequent motoring reviews , the GTS was seen as the best ‘all-round’ 911 money could buy, with more presence and performance than the Carrera S, but more comfortable and less harsh than the rather specialist and in-practical GT3, and all for a lot less money than the supercar rivalling turbo.
Externally, this particular example presents beautifully with clean straight bodywork and blemish free 19’’ RS Spyder style Centre Lock alloy wheels finished in gloss black with a diamond cut rim. Being a Carrera 4, the car also carries the rear centre reflector panel, a feature carried over from the older classic 911’s and now re-introduced for the latest 911 models.
Internally, the interior is again presented in superb condition, the black leather, carpets and trim showing no major signs of wear. The car is equipped with electrically heated hard-backed sports seats featuring Porsche crested headrests. The high specification continues with Porsches superb 7 speed PDK transmission with manual paddle shift and complimenting Sports Chrono Plus package. BOSE Sound and PCM with navigation are also amongst the options specified for this vehicle.
