1988 PORSCHE 911 3.2 Carrera Coupe Sport, Guards Red, Black Leather, Sport Seats, 119,000 miles, Fuch Wheels, Comprehensive Service History.
CSC present for sale this fantastic 1988 UK Specification Porsche 911 3.2 Carrera coupe finished in the classic combination of Guards Red with contrasting Black Leather.
Being a Sport specification, the car features the factory front and rear spoilers and sports suspension. The 16 inch Fuchs forged alloy wheels are in immaculate condition and complete the classic package. The exterior bodywork is in excellent condition and presents very nicely. Panel gaps are all straight and correct and there are no major marks or blemishes.
Internally, the full black interior is dominated by the period leather Sports Seats with red piping which offer the perfect combination of comfort and support. The electric items, windows, mirrors and sunroof all work as they should. The interior is in very good and clean condition with no major damage or wear and just a light age related patina to show for its 31 years.
From 1987 Porsche introduced a series of updates to the model including the G50 5 speed gearbox with hydraulic clutch which much improved the driving experience. Other improvements included better cabin heating and ventilation and integral rear fog lamps in the rear reflector panel which visually tidied up the rear of the car.
Whilst in the current ownership, this particular car F352 MNN, was featured in the June 2011 edition of Classic Cars magazine in an article featuring ‘the last affordable 911s’ (prices have risen a tad since then)! The car was featured alongside a 2.7 Carrera, 3.0 SC & 964 and they also stared on the magazine’s front cover.
The photo shoot and road tests took place in and around the grounds of Oulton Park race track here in Cheshire. An edition of the magazine and a selection of photographers pictures from the day come with the car.
This classic 911 also has one of the most detailed and comprehensive service histories we have seen with a classic 911. A large history file contains vast amounts of service and maintenance receipts to back up 25 service stamps contained within the service books (there are two as the original is now full)!
Under the previous ownership of 7 years, the car has undergone a huge amount of mechanical and structural restoration work.
In 2011 major engine work included a top end re-build and new big ends along with a cosmetic make over whilst removed from the car.
In 2012 the car underwent substantial bodywork restoration with new B posts, kidney bowls and sills being fitted along with repairs to some other less major areas whilst the car was in dock.
In 2015 the G50 gearbox underwent a rebuild to replace worn parts.
All in all, a very presentable, well maintained and useable classic 911 Carrera with sensible mileage and excellent maintenance history. A real tribute to its previous owners and exciting proposition for the next one.
