CSC present for sale this fantastic 1985 UK Specification Porsche 911 3.2 Carrera coupe finished in beautiful Iris Blue Metallic with matching Blue Leather interior and colour coded Fuch forged alloy wheels.

In 1984, Porsche launched the last iteration of the original 911 series in the form of the 3.2 Carrera to replace the current 911 SC which had been in production since 1978. The new car featured a revised larger capacity engine with an improved fuel and ignition system featuring an L-Jetronic Bosch motronics DME system and oil fed chain tensioners.

Whilst the 915 transmission was carried over from the SC, the brake discs were increased in size for better performance and heat dissipation and the suspension was revised to improve ride and handling. Externally, only subtle changes were made including the integration of the front driving lamps in the front valance whilst internally the car remained largely untouched.

This 1985 example, being a sport specification, features the factory front and rear spoilers and sports suspension. The Bodywork of this car presents superbly with no major marks or blemishes and with straight & constant panel gaps all round, whilst he 16 inch Fuchs forged alloy wheels are in very good condition and complete the classic 911 look.

Internally, the blue interior is in excellent, clean condition with no major damage or wear and just a light age related patina to show for its 33 years condition. This example features option leather electric adjustable seats the period leather Sports Seats and the electrical items, windows, mirrors and sunroof all appear to work as they should.

The front compartment is also in very good condition with the fitted carpet set, space-saver spare wheel and original tool kit roll present and correct. At the rear, the engine bay is clean and tidy and looks well cared for, whilst the air-cooled engine idles smoothly.

On the road the car drives really well. Steering, brakes and gearbox all feel tight and precise as you would expect. The power delivery is smooth and progressive as you change up through the 5 speed gearbox.

This classic 911 also comes with a detailed and comprehensive service history file containing pages of service and maintenance receipts going back to 1998 to accompany the service book.

All in all, a very presentable, well maintained and useable classic 911 Carrera with sensible mileage and excellent maintenance history. A real tribute to its previous owners and exciting proposition for the next one.

HISTORY:
The car was first registered on 9th August 1985 at Motortune Porsche of Brompton Road, London to its first owner, a Mr Levonian from Ealing.
The car had seven further keepers over the next twenty eight years before being purchased by its current race engineer owner in May 2013.

The service book shows regular maintenance by Porsche main agents until 1992 followed by independent Porsche specialists in the latter years. There are over 20 service stamps in the service book, and a large history file of servicing and maintenance receipts going back to 1998.
