The following on from the 981 generation, the 718 Cayman and Boxster arrived in 2016. With subtle styling changes, the main change was the engine line up, Porsche opting for a smaller displacement, turbo-charged which allowed increased torque and horsepower whilst increasing fuel economy whilst reducing emissions.

The 2.5 litre engine fitted to the S model utilized Variable Turbine Geometry technology (VTG) and produces 345bhp though the big increase is in torque which is upped by 37lb ft from the previous 3.4 981 unit.

Chassis improvements were also introduced with a quicker steering rack with the same ratio as the 911 turbo and some rear suspension components taken from the GT4. Braking performance was also improved with the Cayman S borrowing its front brakes from the 911 Carrera.

The exterior bodywork on this example presents beautifully as you would expect with no major marks to the paintwork and sitting on factory optioned 20’’ Carrera S alloy wheels finished in complimenting Satin Platinum.

Inside, the Black leather interior also remains in immaculate condition and shows no major signs of wear or use. The electrically heated sports seats and leather GT Sport steering wheel enhance the well-appointed interior which is without doubt this cars main feature.

There are very few Caymans around with this level of equipment, the current owner ticking almost every option available at the time of placing the order which put the original purchase price well into 911 territory!
